Supply Chain gets the double!!

Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea football club was the setting for the 2009 International Freighting Weekly Awards.

To an audience of 500 industry peers, for the second time in five years, Allport's Supply Chain Management division were declared winners of the Supply Chain Excellence category by TV sports commentator Steve Rider.

Making the award Steve commented on the deciding factors in the judges' decision. "They were impressed with how Allport maximise the efficiency of customers' international supply chains, from sourcing to final delivery, adopting a holistic approach, rather than just bolting on elements of best practice."

Commenting after the awards SCM Director, Danny Clayton, said "There were five major retailers in the room tonight and three of them were sat at our table which, I think, speaks volumes. This award is recognition of the efforts of everyone in our team and the fantastic support of our clients."
